Welcome back to the AC Spotlight! Today we sat down with Seven, the Game Master behind the brand-new D&D podcast, Medieval Misfits.

The World of Celandria Reborn

Medieval Misfits isn't just a single show; it's an "umbrella" for all things D&D. While they are starting with their main campaign, Celandria Reborn, Seven teased that they are already branching out into discussion-style podcasts where the crew just sits down to talk shop about the game we all love.

"Just a couple of buddies doing the fun thing and playing D&D together, which I'm super stoked to do."

The best part for new listeners? The episodes are bite-sized. Unlike some 4-hour marathons, Medieval Misfits aim for a tight 60 to 90 minutes. It’s the perfect length to get your D&D fix on a commute or a lunch break without falling behind on a massive backlog.

Meet the "Short Kings" (and one Giant)

One of the most hilarious reveals from our chat was the party composition. In a total coincidence, three out of the four players rolled up "vertically challenged" characters, leaving one very tall friend to do the heavy lifting.

Race/Class

Vibe

Rune Knight Goliath

The 6'9" "muscle" raised on the streets.

Halfling Cleric

A young swashbuckler with a pirate past.

Gnome Wizard

A 400-year-old former fighter whose body is failing, so he turned to magic.

Dwarf Barbarian

Seeking revenge for his father (very Thor Odinson style).

From Player to Game Master

Interestingly, this is Seven’s first time behind the DM screen. After years of being a player, he had a specific vision for the world of Celandria and decided to take the plunge to ensure the story was told right.

His GM Style:

  • The Rule of Cool: If a player has a wild idea, Seven will find a way to make it work mechanically.

  • The "Dice Off the Table" Penalty: This is a house favorite. If your d20 rolls off the table, you don't get a reroll—you have to use a d12 for that check instead. Invest in a dice tower, folks!
