A Year of Adventure

Our biggest release yet, and it lands on our first anniversary. The tabletop is open to every subscriber, one-shots can run on a schedule, and events get the tools they need: seats for the whole group, multiple tables under one listing, deposits, and discount codes.

⭐ Highlights

πŸ—ΊοΈ The Tabletop Is in Open Beta

Every paying subscriber can now use the Arcane Circle tabletop, Apprentice included. Run your session in the same place your players booked it: one login for the whole party, and no second app to set up.

πŸ•οΈ Built for TTRPG Experiences

Multi-day and travelling events can list each stop with its own dates and address, and say up front whether lodging and meals are included. Non-playing companions can get their own ticket, and each table can carry its own schedule and details. GMs can also ask players for their Discord username at checkout, so nobody has to chase handles before game day.

πŸ“‹ Listings & Booking

✨ A New Way to Create a Listing

Creating a game now starts by picking the kind of listing you're running, and the wizard, checkout, and game pages have been redesigned around it. You see a full price breakdown on the Review & Publish step before anything goes live.

πŸ” Recurring One-Shots

GMs can list a one-shot that repeats weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Each session is booked on its own, so players pick the nights that work for them, and new dates open up automatically as the old ones pass.

πŸͺ‘ One Listing, Many Tables

An event that runs the same adventure across several tables is now one listing. Each table keeps its own schedule and its own GM, and players pick the table they want at booking. Reviews, ratings, and "when's the next one?" all stay in one place instead of scattering across duplicate posts.

πŸ“… Drop Into a Single Session

Limited series are no longer all-or-nothing. GMs can let players opt into individual sessions, so someone who can only make weeks two and four can book exactly those. Seats are tracked per session, so a full night no longer blocks the rest of the run.

🎟️ Buy Seats for Your Friends

One person can now book more than one seat. Pay for the group in a single checkout, name your guests, and everyone gets a ticket. No more asking four friends to each go book themselves before the table fills.

πŸ“ Find Games by Place

The venue map is redrawn in the Arcane Circle palette and now supports searching for in-person games near a place. Listings show the approximate area a game runs in before you book, so you can tell whether it's a drive worth making, with the exact address released to confirmed players.

πŸ’³ Payments & Pricing

πŸ’° Fee Update

Starting with this release, the GM fee on standard sessions is 7% and the player booking fee is 4%. GMs who published a paid game before October 1 keep their 5% GM fee. Fees on TTRPG Experiences are unchanged.

🎫 Deposits, Payment Plans, and Add-Ons

Big-ticket events no longer demand the whole sum up front. GMs can take a deposit to hold a seat, and separately offer a payment plan that spreads the rest across scheduled instalments β€” each is its own toggle, so a GM can offer one without the other. Affirm and Klarna are available at checkout as well. GMs can also sell add-ons alongside a seat, with inventory tracked and the full price breakdown shown before payment.

πŸ’Έ Early-Bird Pricing

Games can now carry more than one price over their lifetime. Set a presale or early-bird phase that rolls into the regular price on a date you choose. Whatever price a player is quoted is the price they pay, even if the phase turns over while they're finishing the booking.

🏷️ Discount Codes for Your Games

GMs can create discount codes for their own games, as a percentage or a flat amount off. Players enter the code at checkout and see the lower price before they pay.

🏰 Guilds & Characters

πŸ›‘οΈ Guild Staff and the Door

Guilds have a new Staff role that sits between Member and Admin. Staff can run check-in at the door and nothing else, so an event organizer can hand a volunteer a scanner without handing over the guild.

πŸ§™ Character Templates

Save one of your characters as a template and start your next one from it instead of a blank sheet. It's private to you β€” nothing is shared or published to other players.

πŸ› Fixes & Improvements

  • Paid seats can now be priced anywhere from $5 to $9,999, and the old $500 cap on in-person games is gone.
  • Seat tiers can be unlimited, and checkout lists them from lowest price to highest.
  • Every game type can sell more than one seat per order, and games that require approval send group orders to the GM for review.
  • In-person venue addresses show to the public as soon as a GM chooses to share them.
  • Several listings that could silently fail to publish now publish, or tell you exactly what to fix.
  • The tabletop keeps you in your campaign when your login refreshes mid-session.
  • Prices now appear above the application form, so you see what a seat costs before writing your pitch.
  • Adult-rated games show a confirmation before the listing loads.
  • Scanning a ticket at the door records attendance and shows up in game history.
  • In-person tickets follow a refund window that's stated up front.
  • Guilds running games can take a defined cut of the revenue.
  • Unpublishing a game no longer erases its payment history, and GM earnings stay attributed after a booking is removed.
  • Failed payment attempts are grouped by session and only show while a seat is genuinely unpaid β€” a session that was paid and later refunded no longer hides a real later failure, and failed attempts no longer count toward your Total Spent or Total Earned.
  • Guild members with a GM role can list a game without being the owner.
  • Clicking a guild member's name opens their profile instead of a dead page.
  • The Observers Allowed setting saves.
  • Platforms Used lists Arcane Circle separately from Alchemy and saves correctly.
  • Upcoming Sessions are ordered by when they actually happen.
  • Six booking options are now selectable cards rather than plain toggles.
  • Fixed a duplicate welcome message in game chat.
  • You can save a game as a draft from any step while creating it, not just the last one.
  • GMs can turn on per-session booking directly when setting up a series, and the minimum-players check for a single session works correctly.
  • Saving a table you edited no longer crashes the editor.
  • Adding a session to a series no longer force-enrolls players who opted into single sessions.
  • Long or similar-looking titles in Conversations and other lists show their full text on hover instead of cutting off.
  • Creating a wiki past your plan's limit fails with a clear message instead of silently.
  • Academy quiz results now show up in the Quest Log right away, so course badges unlock without redoing the quiz.
  • Pasting a Demiplane character link now tells you clearly that import isn't supported yet, instead of failing with a confusing error.
